PATIENT FEEDBACK 2023

Thank you for your feedback!

We have recently conducted a patient satisfaction survey and as a result of your feedback we have improved our service.

Sunstate Family Practice is involved in the RACGP Registrar Training Program offering professional supervision and teaching to registrars in their final years of training. During a GP Registrar’s placement at Sunstate, they practice under the supervision of our Primary Supervisor Dr Ganter, and additional Supervisors Dr Vu and Dr Haller, who also enjoy sharing their knowledge and experience with young GP’s. Registrar training placements commence in January each year, which is when our registrars sometimes need to move on from Sunstate to complete their training at another practice.

Sunstate Family practice is proud to be a GP training practice, supporting young doctors in the ways of being a good doctor.

We understand that it can be disappointing when you discover that your GP is not available, but rest assured that your doctor has provided clinical handover to ensure that another doctor can continue to care for you.

When the doctor of your choice is not available, any other GP at the practice will be able to assist you in their absence.

We have continued to review our appointment booking structure to enable more timely access for acute/sick problems, preventative health and chronic disease management. Book 1-2 weeks in advance for routine matters to ensure you can book the day and time that suits you best.

Please provide as much notice as possible if you are unable to attend an appointment so that our reception staff can offer these times to patients who are waiting to be seen. GPs are currently in high demand!

Request to be placed on our cancellation list if you would like to be seen sooner!

To maintain our quality of service and minimise wait times, it is important to book your appointments appropriately. Help the doctors run to time by ensuring you request a long appointment for more than one issue. Your lifelong relationship with your GP is one that is nurtured by regular contact to ensure all issues are thoroughly investigated. You may arrive at your appointment with a list of problems you would like to discuss and these may need to be addressed over multiple consultations. Please trust that your GP has your best interests in mind when managing your health care needs.

For your comfort, our wait room and consultation rooms will undergo a makeover in the coming months – watch this space!

Overall, you reported that we are often exceeding your expectations in the following areas of performance including Confidence in ability, Treatment by staff, Respect shown to patient, Ability to listen and Ability to express concerns/fears.

You are highly likely to recommend Sunstate Family Practice to your friends!

We welcome your feedback at any time. You can share this with us by discussing with your doctor or with any other staff member you feel comfortable. You could use the Suggestion Box located in the wait room OR contact the Practice Manager directly on 3207 7744 or manager@sunstatefamilypractice.com.au
