DR ANDREW GANTER. (MBBS FRACGP)
After graduating from University in Qld in 1993. Dr Ganter gained experience at both Greenslopes and Gold Coast Hospitals before returning to his home town of Gladstone with his young family for 10 years& running his own Group General Practice. Returning to Brisbane for his now teenage children’s education, Dr Ganter established Sunstate Family Practice in 2009. With over 15 years experience in General Practice he still enjoys all aspects of General Practice but has a special interest in Children’s & Women’s health and management of Pregnancy as well as Management of Depression and Mental Health Issues and the detection and management of skin cancers.
DR MATTHEW HARVEY. (BMed)
Having a Previous career in IT. Dr Harvey graduated Medicine from University of Newcastle in 2001. Spending many years in the hospital system of NSW & Qld Dr Harvey has a vast experience in both Orthopaedics and Pathology. Before settling in the Redland area, with four children Dr Harvey is well established in the area & he joined Sunstate Family Practice in 2012. He enjoys all aspects of General Practice with particular interest in Sports Medicine, detection and treatment of fractures and joint issues. He also enjoys skin cancer detection and minor procedures as well as men’s Health
Dr AMY HEALES. (MBBS FRACGP)
Graduating Medicine from Griffith University in 2010. Dr Heales enjoyed her post graduate experience at both Logan and QE II hospitals pursuing General Practice. We were pleased to welcome Dr Heales to our team in July 2014.
Whilst enjoying all aspects of General Practice Dr Heales particularly enjoys preventative medicine, Chronic Disease Management as well as Women & Child health.
Dr CHIA WONG.
Has joined us from Singapore on a permanent basis.
He has over 10 years of General Practice experience.
Special interest in Chronic Disease & also enjoys looking after people in their senior years.
Dr Wong has settled in the area with his young family and he has made a great addition to our team.
Mr KENNETH ELUMBAH. (Bodysmart Exercise Physiologist)
Now visit Sunstate every second Tuesday.
Ken graduated from Queensland University of Technology with a Bachelor in Clinical Exercise Physiology in 2014.
During his placements at University he was exposed to a variety of clinical presentations including chronic cardiac, respiratory, musculoskeletal, metabolic, and mental health conditions in clinics, hospitals and institutions in the Brisbane Metro area and in Rockhampton.
After graduation, Ken gained experience in the vocational rehabilitation sector in Tasmania assisting clients with their physical and mental health concerns with the goal of returning to work and sustaining long term employment.
Ken strongly supports that exercise and sports benefits influence positive social, mental and physical well-being.
He has confidence that exercise can prevent and help manage many chronic conditions and can be fun, efficient, and can come in many forms.
